Changing Irish lives across the North of England
Our Impact
From ending loneliness and preventing homelessness to supporting families fleeing domestic abuse, we’re transforming the lives of Irish and Irish Traveller communities across the North of England.
Our Story
Fréa comes from the Irish word ‘fréamh’ meaning ‘root’. Our three partner charities are rooted in our shared Irish heritage and a duty to care for the vulnerable in our Irish communities across the North.
Get Involved
Get involved with our fundraising and volunteering opportunities, from joining in with the Big Irish Breakfast to our spectacular St Patrick’s Day Ball.
Renewing Roots
Renewing Roots offers free, confidential support to former residents of Ireland's Mother and Baby and County Homes and other institutions.
Get help accessing the Irish Government Action Plan, including Payment Scheme, specialist counselling, early life records and more.
Women of Irish Heritage
A Professional Network in the North of England
The (WIH) Professional Network brings women of Irish heritage together to build strong professional connections, long-lasting friendships and to celebrate their shared culture.
We network and host events regularly across the North of England in Leeds, Manchester and Liverpool.
