Your Personal Information & What We Do With It

Renewing Roots is a programme of Fréa. We are committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal information in line with General Data Protection Regulations.

We will ensure your personal information is:

  1. Used lawfully, fairly and in a transparent way

  2. Collected only for valid purposes that we have explained to you and not used in any way incompatible with those purposes

  3. Limited to the purposes we have told you about

  4. Accurate and kept up to date

  5. Kept only as long as necessary

  6. Kept securely

The personal information that we collect is stored on our computer system or in our paper files. Information related risk management is available for safeguarding purposes to staff based at Irish Community Care. Access to our computers is password protected and only available to our staff (which includes students on placement with us and volunteers) and our IT support team. Data is backed up overnight. We may need to store personal information at our offices, which are based at Irish Community Care. This information will be store in our filing cabinets which are locked overnight. Access to these offices is security fob controlled.

You have the right to request a copy of any information that Fréa holds on you. You also have the right to request that we rectify any information that you believe is inaccurate or incomplete.

You have the right to withdraw consent for Fréa processing your personal information, at any point during your support. You will need to sign a ‘Withdrawal of Consent of Processing Data’ form available from your Support Worker on request,.
